Woodbine Entertainment today announced live Thoroughbred racing for Thursday (July 2) at Woodbine Racetrack has been cancelled due to a sewer line leak at the All-Weather Main Track.
The sewer line leak occurred at the half-mile pole of the Main Track. Contractors have been on site and will continue to work on Thursday to repair the issue.
In addition to Thursday's live racing cancellation, training on the Main Track has also been cancelled for Thursday morning.
Pending review with the HBPA and AGCO, Woodbine plans to move the seven races scheduled for Thursday to Sunday (July 5) and race them as originally drawn. The remainder of Sunday's card would then be drawn tomorrow for a 15-race card.
An update regarding Friday's training and live racing will be provided Thursday afternoon.
