Debut runner Box Office Hit became the first winner for Taylor Made Stallions' freshman sire Idol  when the chestnut filly captured a 5-furlong maiden special weight race by 6 1/4 lengths July 2 at Thistledown.

Box Office Hit is owned by Mast Thoroughbreds and trained by Robert Gorham, who bought the Ohio-bred filly for $30,000 from the Legacy Bloodstock consignment at the 2025 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings Sale. Incentive money from the Ohio Thoroughbred Fund made the July 2 maiden race worth $33,900, of which Box Office Hit earned $20,340. The final time was 1:00.22.

Smokin C bred Box Office Hit out of the Afleet Alex winner Boxford Belle, who is the dam of multiple graded-placed winner Cadet Corps (Will Take Charge) and three other winners. Boxford Belle is out of Miss Indy Anna (Apalachee), who won the Churchill Downs Breeders' Cup Handicap (G2) and Columbia Stakes (G3) in 1993.

Boxford Belle also has a yearling filly by Idol, who is a 9-year-old son of prominent sire Curlin .

Idol debuted at 3 in 2020, getting two wins and two seconds from four starts. He finished his sophomore season with a second in the San Antonio Stakes (G2) at Santa Anita Park. At 4, Idol captured the Santa Anita Handicap (G1) over Express Train, Maxfield , and Independence Hall . He retired with a 3-2-1 record from eight starts and $426,964 in earnings. Idol is a full brother to three-time grade 1 winner Nest.

Idol stands at Taylor Made near Nicholasville, Ky., for $5,000.
