It was a morning of celebration Aug. 2 at Todd Pletcher's Saratoga Race Course barn following a Saturday afternoon where the team recorded five victories, including Renegade's last-to-first triumph in the Jim Dandy Stakes (G2).
Renegade's return to the winner's circle was cause for celebration itself, but he wasn't the only 3-year-old being celebrated Sunday morning. Just after 7 a.m. ET, a Brook Ledge van pulled up outside the barn to return 2025's Eclipse champion 2-year-old Ted Noffey back to the Hall of Famer's care.

Spendthrift Farm's gray or roan son of Into Mischief was an early favorite for this year's Triple Crown series after going a perfect 4-for-4 at 2 with impressive wins in the Hopeful Stakes (G1), Breeders' Futurity (G1), and Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1). He never got the opportunity as he was discovered to have bone bruising in late January and was given time off to rest and recuperate.
Over the last few weeks, Ted Noffey has been getting back to work at Ian Brennan's farm in Ocala, Fla. Pletcher said he's breezed each of the last two weeks and will be ready to log his first recorded workout at Saratoga later this week.
"He's ready to pick up where we left off," Pletcher said. "(He's had) a couple good, solid breezes down in Ocala that I saw on video. He looked terrific. I think he's the kind that will come to hand pretty quickly."
Pletcher said there is no specific race target yet, but that he thinks Ted Noffey will be ready to race in about 6-8 weeks.
"We'll see how he trains and try to come up with a plan," Pletcher said. "He looks fantastic and we're excited to get him back."
