For many years, the RTCA White Horse Award has recognized extraordinary and heroic acts of courage, compassion, and heroism within the horse racing community. We're excited to share that nominations for this year's WHA award are officially open!
Every racing community has individuals whose actions leave a lasting impact. Sometimes it's a dramatic act performed in a moment of crisis. Other times, it's someone who consistently goes above and beyond in service to others.
As you think about the people around you, consider whether there is someone whose story deserves to be shared and remembered.
You might think of:
- A person who demonstrated exceptional courage and heroism on behalf of human or horse
- A groom, trainer, or track employee who served others selflessly
- A person who saw a need and whose actions positively impacted their racing community
Here are examples of recent RTCA White Horse Award recipients:
