The September thoroughbred meet at Los Alamitos will begin Friday, Sept. 11.
The six-day season will continue through Sunday, Sept. 20 with racing conducted on Friday-Sunday both weeks (Sept. 11-13 and 18-20). Post time will be 1 p.m.
The meet will include a pair of stakes worth a combined $175,000.
The second day of the season - Saturday, Sept. 12 - will feature the inaugural $100,000-guaranteed Becca Taylor Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at six furlongs.
The race is named for the California bred daughter of Old Topper owned by breeder Nick Alexander and trained by Steve Miyadi. Out of the General Meeting mare Lady Sax, Becca Taylor won nine of 10 and banked $499,160 with her biggest victory coming in the Grade II Great Lady M. Stakes at Los Alamitos in 2022.
One week later - Saturday, Sept. 19 - 3-year-olds & up bred or sired in California will get together in the $75,000 E.B. Johnston Stakes. The Johnston will be run at one mile.
Track gates - including Burgart's and Vessels Club - will open at 9:30 a.m. General parking is free with grandstand admission $3 ($2 for seniors).
The wagering menu includes the Pick Six - with the traditional 70%-30% split - a pair of Pick 4's - races 2-5 and the final four races - as well as the popular Players' Pick 5 - a 50-cent minimum wager with a reduced 14% takeout rate which is offered on the first five races.
In addition to the Becca Taylor, the Sept. 12 program will feature a live money handicapping contest with two seats available to the 2027 National Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas.
