Bidding concluded Sept. 30 for the Magic Millions Digital Sale, achieving a clearance rate over 75% across all categories as bidding closed on the last lot, with racing stock proving particularly popular.
Overshadow was well found with bidders from four states across Australia competing for the 4-year-old filly.
A winner and placed midweek in Sydney from only seven starts, Overshadow was eventually purchased by Harding Stable for AU$47,500 (US$33,215, AU$1=$0.70)
"We've had a lot of luck buying tried horses online and bringing them up to the beach here in Newcastle," purchaser James Harding said.
"If anyone would like to get involved with her, shares will be available, so please feel free to contact us directly."
Tuff Tu Mus, a 6-year-old multiple city-winning gelding offered by Lindsay Park Racing, was also hotly contested.
After a protracted bidding duel involving 41 bids, Pakenham-based Dean Williams Racing purchased him for AU$32,500.
In the broodmare category Zapped, who was offered in-foal to exciting young Rosemont Stud-based stallion Henry Longfellow, was purchased by Fleetwood for AU$20,000, while Angel Sky, offered with a Maschino colt at foot, was purchased by Naszko Pty for AU$15,000.
