Two days before the expected start by Primetime Emmy in the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1T) at Keeneland, a 25% interest in the French group 3 winner will be offered Oct. 28 at the third Championship Sale at Historic Castleton.

Bred in Australia by Matthew Sandblom of Kingstar Farm, Primetime Emmy was bred on Northern Hemisphere time with the intention to campaign her as a 2-year-old in France.

The international venture has paid dividends. Trained by Francis-Henri Graffard, Primetime Emmy won her July 12 debut at Deauville by 2 1/2 lengths, becoming the first European winner for her sire, Extreme Choice. After a fifth-place finish in the Prix de Cabourg (G3), she returned to the winner's circle Sept. 19 at Chantilly, where she captured the Prix Eclipse Tattersalls (G3) by a head, becoming the first Northern Hemisphere group winner for Extreme Choice.

Out of stakes winner Princess Emmy, by King's Chapel, Primetime Emmy is a half sister to group 3 winner Thurlow and stakes winner Three Kings. Her extended female family includes Queensland Oaks (G1) heroine Travel Light.

Extreme Choice, who stands at Newgate Farm, is the world's leading sire of group 1 winners to runners and has the highest stakes winners-to-runners ratio of any sire in the Southern Hemisphere. He is also the only Australian sire to have sired winners of both the Golden Slipper (G1) and Melbourne Cup (G1).

With Primetime Emmy targeting the Breeders' Cup at Keeneland, the offering presents a rare opportunity to acquire an interest in a talented young filly whose story spans three continents.

"I have had so much faith in Extreme Choice from the very beginning, and to be able to race his progeny on the biggest stage globally brings my vision to fruition," Sandblom said. "I am so excited to have Primetime Emmy competing at Keeneland in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf and look forward to sharing the journey well into the future with her successful buyer at the Championship Sale."

The Championship Sale is held three days before the Breeders' Cup World Championships at the host track for the event. The unique auction, which this year will be held at Castleton, features fractional interests in Breeders' Cup contenders, stallion shares, breeding rights, elite broodmares, racing prospects and other rare offerings.

The final lot of this year's Championship Sale is Castleton, a 951-acre horse farm listed by Bluegrass Sotheby's International Realty. Located just minutes from downtown Lexington, Castleton is not only one of the oldest horse farms in the Bluegrass but is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful farms in the world.

The live auction for the Championship Sale will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET. Attendance is by invitation only, with bidding available in person, online and by phone.
