The Last Dance, runner-up in this year's Poule d'Essai des Pouliches (French One Thousand Guineas, G1), has been added to the catalog for the Arqana Breeding Stock Sale and will be offered on the opening evening of the sale Dec. 5.
The 3-year-old, trained by Carlos and Yann Lerner, has earned a rating of 110 following an impressive start to her career. She made her winning debut in the spring at Chantilly Racecourse, scoring by 4 1/2 lengths, before following up in the Prix du Louvre at ParisLongchamp Racecourse.
She subsequently finished second to Diamond Necklace in the French One Thousand Guineas back at the Paris track.
By Iffraaj, The Last Dance is out of the listed winner Mary's Precedent and is a sister to Godspeed, winner of the Prix de Sandringham (G2). She also comes from a family that includes multiple grade 1 winner Sistercharlie, Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (G1) winner Sottsass, grade/group 3 winner My Sister Nat, and Shin Emperor.
