American Pharoah will stand for an unchanged fee of ¥4 million at the Japan Bloodhorse Breeders' Association's Shizunai Stallion Station in 2027, following a successful first season at the stud.
Coolmore announced in June that the 2015 American Triple Crown winner would remain in Japan for a second successive breeding season, having initially been scheduled to return to Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky., in July. The decision followed the stallion's popularity with Japanese breeders.
The son of Pioneerof the Nile covered 218 mares during his debut season at Shizunai in 2026, the highest total among the JBBA's stallions.
American Pharoah, who won nine of his 11 starts, including the Kentucky Derby (G1), Preakness Stakes (G1), Belmont Stakes (G1) and Breeders' Cup Classic (G1), has also made an impact on Japanese racing through his progeny.
Cafe Pharoah, a two-time winner of the February Stakes (G1), has been among his leading performers, while Luxor Cafe won the Musashino Stakes (G3) in 2025. June Blair, runner-up in the 2025 Sprinters Stakes (G1), has also demonstrated the stallion's ability to produce high-class performers on turf.
Caravaggio, a former Ashford resident whose group 1-winning progeny include Erdenali, remains at ¥3 million.
Sottsass, winner of the 2020 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (G1), is priced at ¥2.5 million (£11,900/€14,100), while Declaration of War stands at ¥2.3 million.
