Mill Ridge Farm announced Oct. 16 the 2027 stud fees for its three stallions, led by Oscar Performance who will remain at $60,000 for the coming breeding season. Casa Creed will stand his third season at stud for a fee of $7,500—$5,000 for multiple mares—while freshman sire Aloha West will stand for a private treaty.
Oscar Performance leads all North American stallions with percentage of grade 1 stakes horses from starters in 2026, over Not This Time , Gun Runner , Into Mischief , and Justify , according to the farm. Since August, he has had seven 2-year-old winners, two of which are grade 1-placed in Natalma Stakes (G1T) runner-up De la Renta and Summer Stakes (G1T) runner-up Oscar. His other 2-year-old winners include Ogle, Kipros, Spies Like Us, Give Her the Oscar, and Oscar Cheer.
"His ability to move up his mares with his 2-year-olds performing at the highest level on a $20,000 stud fee suggests his future is very bright," said Price Bell, general manager of Mill Ridge. "When you consider he is 'book full' these last four years and in-utero mares are at a fee of $60,000, we are excited for his shareholders and breeders supporting him. We have decided to maintain his fee of $60,000 for 2027 and look forward to the future."
Multiple grade 1 winner Casa Creed will be represented by weanlings from his first crop at the upcoming Fasig-Tipton's The November Sale and Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.
"Casa Creed is producing fantastic foals, and we look forward to showcasing them this November sale for everyone to see. When you remember him as an athlete with soundness and toughness, he is tremendous value and so much opportunity exists with turf and all-weather racing," Bell said. "Take a moment to look him up and be reminded what an exceptional racehorse (he was). He has had wonderful shareholder support and will stand for $7,500 and $5,000 with multiple mares."
Racing from age 2 to 8, Casa Creed earned grade 1 victories in the 2021-22 Jaipur Stakes (G1T) and 2022-23 Fourstardave Handicap (G1T). The son of Jimmy Creed retired with nearly $2.7 million in earnings and a 9-5-6 record in 36 starts.
The 2021 Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) victor Aloha West, represented by his first 2-year-olds in 2026, will stand for a private treaty in 2027.
"Aloha West is in that pressure point of not having the 2-year-old performers we hoped and needed so far with (his) first crop. Yet, we believe there are 2-year-olds in the wings with promise and, like himself who did not start until a 4-year-old, along with broodmare sire Speightstown, whom he physically resembles, we remain hopeful and have him at a 'Private Treaty' at the moment," Bell concluded.
