Ideal fall-weather conditions will greet racegoers arriving at Keeneland for Future Stars Friday, the opening day of the two-day Breeders' Cup. Sunshine and temperatures in the low-to-mid 70s are forecast for the afternoon.
The main track is fast, and the turf is firm.
First post time is 11:55 a.m. ET.
Numerous scratches are on the card, many of them regulatory veterinary scratches, with one of the most notable being Great Barrier Reef from the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (G1). Horses during the Breeders' Cup are under high veterinary scrutiny.
Scratches for the full card, as reported by Equibase at 9:15 a.m, are listed below. A reminder that no horses on the program race with the diuretic Lasix, even on the undercard.
