The Show: At The Races With Steve Byk, Nov. 2
The speaker: Mark Casse, trainer of Nitrogen, the Breeders' Cup Distaff (G1) winner Oct. 31 at Keeneland

The topic: How he would rate Nitrogen against all his other top horses
The quote: "She's just unbelievable. I've been asked a million times who the best horse I ever trained is, and I kind of never gave an answer. I would always suggest maybe Tepin, but I'm ready today to declare Nitrogen the best horse I've ever trained, for a lot of reasons, but mostly, three Breeders' Cups, she's shown up, she's ran hard. I would have said her juvenile Breeders' Cup race was probably the most frustrating Breeders' Cup race that I've ever had until Time to Dazzle. ... I love Tepin dearly. Tepin did all her work on one surface. I promise you, if we have kept Nitrogen on turf, she would have been as dominant on turf. So, I think that speaks volumes. So, today, I'm going to say that Nitrogen is the best horse I've ever trained."
The Show: BloodHorse Monday, Nov. 2
The speaker: Miguel Clement, trainer of Breeders' Cup Mile (G1T) winner Deterministic

The topic: How jockey Kendrick Carmouche has helped the five-time grade 1 winner succeed, especially on the biggest stage Oct. 31 at Keeneland
The quote: "Kendrick suited this horse like a glove. He's able to use his tactical speed, something we probably did not do early enough at a young age. Not only is he able to use his speed, but he also knows when to rate. That little move of finesse towards the first turn was the difference maker, where he was able to let Cabo Spirit go, take back, wait, passive and, when an opportunity presented itself, he went for it again. He ducked down to the rail and took command of the race. Kendrick and him, to be honest, they were the dynamic duo. The two of them together, they really complemented each other. And think about the career they had together: spectacular."
The Show: Nick Luck Daily Podcast, Nov. 3
The speaker: Ciaron Maher, who not only trained Point of Law, the winner of the Melbourne Cup (G1) Nov. 3 at Flemington Racecourse, but he also had the second- and third-place finishers, Zahrann and Juja Kibo, respectively

The topic: His feelings on Point of Law winning the Melbourne Cup less than an hour after the race, as well as his other top finishers
The quote: "Absolutely ecstatic. I was just thrilled and wrapped with the way he'd come on from Geelong. It was quite obvious he had an engine and a tank on him at Geelong. He went quick, sustained it. ... He just thrived since then so I was just thrilled, and the way he paraded in the yard, he's controlled, composed, and he just sort of grown up in two weeks.
"And then the other horse(s), Juja Kibo and Zahrann. I think Zahrann was sort of the forgotten horse, and his runs have been fantastic. He ran super in the Caulfield Cup, and Juja Kibo was just in career-best form. And so, thrilled to have that many runners in the race and trifecta. I'm pretty proud, and it probably hasn't really sunk all in yet. But, I thought we had our best hand ever going to the race, and I suppose that's been vindicated."
