A filly by Kodi Bear topped the buoyant second session of the Goffs Autumn Yearling Sale Nov. 3 when selling to Peter and Ross Doyle for €110,000 (US$123,200, €1=US$1.12).

The Rathbarry Stud-consigned youngster is out of the placed Wootton Bassett mare Shishito, making her a half sister to the promising juvenile Bayraktar, who opened his account at Beverley for Karl Burke and Mohamed Saeed Al Shehhi in September and holds an entry for next season's Irish Two Thousand Guineas (G1).

Shishito is a half sister to multiple group 1-winning globe-trotter Dubai Honour, while the further family includes 2004 Phoenix Stakes (G1) winner Damson and 2011 Flying Childers Stakes (G2) scorer Requinto.

She is set to head across the Channel to begin her racing career and will be in the safest of hands.

Ross Doyle said: "She's been bought for a very long-term client of my father who has stuck with the family for generations. She'll go to France and be trained by Andre Fabre. She has a great pedigree and hopefully might get a very big update. She looks like a quick, medium-sized filly."

At the close of trade, Goffs reported that 196 horses sold from 238 offered, at a clearance of 82%. Turnover rose 24% year-on-year to €2,447,200 (US$2,740,864), despite slightly fewer horses changing hands. The average price increased by 26% to €12,486 (US$13,984), while the median climbed 17% to €7,000 (US$7,840).

The Goffs Autumn Yearling Sale concludes Nov. 4, with selling set to begin at 10 a.m. local time.
