Prominent freshman sire Life Is Good , who has sired a grade 1 winner, will head the WinStar Farm stallion roster at $125,000, the farm announced Oct. 14 along with its full fee schedule for 2027. Not far behind is current seventh-leading sire Constitution , whose fee will hold steady at $110,000.
New to the WinStar roster next year is recently retired grade 1 winner Tappan Street , a son of Into Mischief , who will stand his initial season at stud for $15,000. All stud fees have stands and nurses guarantees.
"We're so excited to announce our 2027 roster led by Life Is Good and Constitution," said Liam O'Rourke, WinStar's director of bloodstock services. "The incredible start for Life Is Good has only strengthened our optimism that he can reach the top echelons of the stallion ranks. Constitution has had another tremendous year with grade 1 winner American History among many graded stakes horses. Tappan Street is an elite son of Into Mischief who is getting rave reviews from breeders. We believe there is strength, value, and excitement at all points of our roster and our team looks forward to working with breeders across the country this year."
Life Is Good, also by Into Mischief, is the second-leading freshman sire by percentage of stakes horses from runners at 13% and the second-leading sire of his class by number of black-type stakes winners with seven, one behind leading sire Golden Pal . He is one of only two in his class to sire a grade 1 winner so far, represented by Hopeful Stakes (G1) winner The Good Life. Life Is Good's stakes winners also included dual stakes winner Waggley, who won the Kentucky Juvenile Stakes and the Prairie Gold Juvenile Stakes.
Life Is Good has bred 763 mares over his first four crops, including 197 in 2026, creating a significant pipeline of well-bred runners to come over the next several years.
Constitution ranks seventh among the general leading sires by progeny earnings, but is fifth by number of black-type performers year-to-date with 33. He boasts progeny earnings of more than $13 million so far and has sired 11 black-type winners this year. His leading runners include 2-year-old American History, who won the Breeders' Futurity (G1) by a length over heavy favorite Coach Pope at Keeneland and a principal contender for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1). He also has been represented by Secretariat Stakes (G2T) winner Supercharger, Delaware Oaks (G3) winner Luv Your Neighbor, and Bango Stakes (G3) winner Harrodsburg.

A powerhouse on the racetrack and in the sales ring, Constitution stands as one of only four active stallions in North America to sire million-dollar yearling colts every year for five consecutive years. He is an emerging sire-of-sires, as well, with multiple grade 1 sire Tiz the Law also among the top 10 general leading sires.
Tappan Street, winner of the 2025 Florida Derby (G1) by 1 1/4 lengths, became the only horse to defeat future Horse of the Year Sovereignty that year. Tappan Street covered 1 1/8 miles in a rapid 1:49.27. The clocking was the fastest 9 furlongs by a 3-year-old at Gulfstream Park in 2025, and faster than recent Florida Derby winners Commandment, Forte , White Abarrio , and Tiz the Law.
Bred on the Into Mischief/Distorted Humor cross that has resulted in sires such as Life Is Good and Practical Joke , Tappan Street was a $1 million graduate of the 2023 Fasig-Tipton The Saratoga Sale. His dam, Virginia Key, by Distorted Humor, is grade 2-placed and a half sister to Grace Adler, who won 2021 Del Mar Debutante Stakes (G1) and to multiple grade 1-placed Pyrenees.
Freshman sire Nashville , who has racked up 14 first-crop winners thus far, will stand for $10,000. His first runners are led by stakes-placed Gypsy Lullaby, a maiden special weight winner and runner-up in the Dolley Madison Stakes. The track-record-setting son of Speightstown has been attractive to breeders, who bred 570 mares to him between his first four books.
Third-generation WinStar homebred Patch Adams will stand for $25,000. The speedy son of Into Mischief reeled off back-to-back grade 1 wins last year at 3, winning the Woody Stephens Stakes (G1) and H. Allen Jerkens Memorial Stakes (G1). His female family is replete with graded stakes winners, including grade 1 winners Well Armed, Cyberknife , Played Hard, and American Patriot. Patch Adams was bred to 183 mares this year and will have his first foals in 2027.
Cogburn , a son of leading sire Not This Time , will stand for $20,000. Cogburn set a North American record for 5 1/2 furlongs on turf in winning the 2024 Jaipur Stakes (G1T), sizzling the distance in :59.80, registering a 114 Beyer Speed Figure, the fastest of the year. He also won the Turf Sprint Stakes (G2T) at Kentucky Downs, completing six furlongs in 1:07.68, just 0.27 seconds off the course record.
Like Patch Adams, standout sprinters Mullikin and Straight No Chaser will also welcome first foals in 2027. Both stallions will be offered at a fee of $10,000 next year. Mullikin won the Forego Stakes (G1) and the John A. Nerud Stakes (G2) and recorded four winning triple-digit Equibase Speed Figures (103-112) and Beyers (102-106) during his racing career. He defeated 26 graded stakes winners, including Eclipse champion sprinter Book'em Danno, and grade 1 winners Gun Pilot and Raging Torrent . Mullikin covered 192 mares in his first season.
Straight No Chaser, a globe-trotting grandson of Speightster, was named 2024 Eclipse champion male sprinter after a victory in the Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) at Del Mar. He also won the 2025 Riyadh Dirt Sprint (G2) in Saudi Arabia and ran a career-best 107 Beyer in taking the 6-furlong Maryland Sprint Stakes (G3) in stakes-record time of 1:08.27. Straight No Chaser was bred to 96 mares this year.
As the Breeders' Cup draws near, Audible could be represented once again by millionaire Splendora, winner of last year's Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1) and a candidate for this year's Breeders' Cup Distaff (G1). This year, Splendora has captured the B. Wayne Hughes Beholder Mile Stakes (G1), Locust Grove Stakes (G2), Molly Pitcher Stakes (G2), Shawnee Stakes (G2), and D. Wayne Lukas Stakes (G2). Audible will stand for $7,500.
